Happy Birthday Dad!

When I was small I used to get my plastic jewellery all knotted up, and my dad got them untangled every time. When a toy broke, I always went to my dad because there isn't anything he can't fix with a piece of wire and glue. 

My dad taught me to make paper cranes, build a snowman, and how to not suck in a water fight. Although he's not an artist, he took me to art class downtown every weekend for most years of my childhood.  

Thanks for being the most awesomest dad, I love you!

Sketches

Hi everyone :) I apologize for the lack of activity on my blog for the past few weeks. It's my final month at Sheridan so things are getting pretty hectic. Here are some sketches I did in the last little while, as usual critiques are welcome and appreciated! :)

I visited Reptilia in Vaughan last week, it's a sweet little zoo with lots of cute critters and very friendly staff. If you don't live too far I highly recommend it as a sketching spot!

 

Yesterday I went sketching with the bestie at McDonald's.

He asked me to draw him as an astronaut :)

I went back to McDonald's today and sketched with the beautiful and talented Seema.

 

Seema found these sketches from my sketchbook that I did in Las Vegas last year, so here they are!

I'd spilt a glass of water on the only Moleskine I've ever owned ;_;
Oh well, back to cheap sketchbooks!

And here's what I wore yesterday, minus the hat :P As the warm weather is coming in I'm wishing I could be on a ranch with some cute cows and Hunter Hayes.

I Heart Bunnies

I like bunnies.

If you've hung out with a bunny before you would know that they like to chew your cords, your shoes, your bags, your books, your pencils and worst of all - they like to snack on the little pink erasers at the top of your pencils. 

I stayed over with my friends Mike and Laura on the weekend, and hung out with their lop, Misu. 

I doodled Guaiguai in my planner a few months ago while I was supposed to be working on my criminology assignment. Eyassu is making me post these too. Guaiguai is a tiny white Polish dwarf. 

I'm just being a ball of goof today.

When I was in grade 6 the two greatest people on earth were Tarzan and Jane Goodall (besides Walt Disney of course!), needless to say I was a little bit obsessed with apes. Here's a quick painting of Dr. Goodall as a I'm taking a teeny weeny break from my film :)

I don't have too much to post because I always forget to scan my drawings.

Doodles

Sometimes I do daily outfit / mood doodles but I don't post them because I'm almost always in jeans and a tshirt :P It's really relaxing to do though!

When you draw a lot of strawberries they start to stare back at you.
