February

It's been a while! I've been so busy with film (it's no longer No Mo Fro! We reworked the whole thing over, now it's POOF) and counselling work. Just some artwork I've done in the past week.

Quick watercolour for my counselling supervisor's birthday

I'm on an imaginary vacation of one.

Art for my soul

Hiii! :)

A couple of weeks ago I did some sketches of some lovely Ethiopian ladies and I'd meant to make a finished piece out of them. That never happened.

But last night when I got bored of my work I kinda started doodling. I didn't have internet or my sketches on me, so I really just made this up ...

I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but it's definitely very different from what I usually do. It was fun experimenting with line on a black figure!

Action Analysis Assignment Progress

Character Roughs
Workbook in progress

With revisions suggested by my layout teacher. I definitely like shot A much more, as well as the lighting.
But not too sure about the funny cactus in the middle and the lack of haystack. :C

Below are just a few of my panels from my action analysis that I will be animating :)

Critiques welcome!

Hans Bacher Mastercopies

Copies of Aladdin concept art from Dream Worlds I did from the summer because I loved doing the first one so much.
This is the first I did from 1st year animation: http://meeheesketch.blogspot.com/2011/03/progress.html :)

YAY HANS BACHER <3

The little 'colour keys' are from me fooling around with hues, so I thought I'd share 'em.
How perfect are his paintings that they look great in every colour scheme?

I also started a pretty big mastercopy of a Prince of Egypt BG with oil on canvas. Fingers crossed that it will be completed! I will post pictures soon :D Critiques appreciated!

Mrs. Beets' House

Remember old Mrs. Beets? I got to design her Victorian house in layout class, it was soooo much fun to research and draw!

For me, layout seems to be one of those things that comes naturally one minute, and gives me hell the next. So I never quite know what to expect as to how long it will take me to do, and how well it will turn out. But I have to say, I think this is the first time that I've actually been happy with my layout for a long while.

Hope y'all like it :)
Critiques are always welcome.
